It is a great privilege and joy to watch little faces explore and discover the world around them. Busy Bags have grown from this passion and my drive to ignite the learner within young children.
I am a teacher who has taught in the early childhood sector and Primary schools in New Zealand and overseas. I am passionate about teaching and learning and encouraging children to extend their thinking.
While pregnant with my second child I questioned how, free from technology, I was ever going to keep my active 2 year old busy, while I cared for a new-born baby. I was disappointed with the lack of quality educational toys at affordable prices. I began making Busy Bags for him and realised it is the coupling of stimulating activities with quality questioning that engaged his hands and mind. I wanted to share his fascination and delight with other children.
Busy Bags are unique because they are much more than just an activity; Busy Bags are a resource for parents. I know you and your child will love the hands-on manipulates that inspire, promote problem solving and foster early numeracy and literacy skills as much as we do.
